Science Week Fun!
Our children have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Science Week, exploring the wonders of science through a range of exciting, hands-on activities. Year 3 'Come Fly With Me: Africa!'
The children had a fantastic day as we began our new topic, "Come Fly With Me: Africa." They showed excellent rhythm skills while playing the djembe drums and enthusiastically took part in a range of call and response games. Years 3 and 4 Boys Shine at Wolves Tournament!
Our Year 3 and 4 boys have been more than excited to take part in the Tony McGinn football tournament at the Wolves training ground in Compton. After a loss to start with, we then followed up with two draws. Fantastic goals from Tyler-Jai, Oscar and Alex! Our final game was where we really shone! A phenomenal win against Palmers Cross, with Captain Oscar even scoring a hatrick!! What an amazing day, so proud of all our team! Bring on next football season!

Designing Delicious Shortbread
As part of their Design and Technology learning Year 3 children explored the origins of shortbread and learned about its history and cultural significance. They then had the opportunity to become shortbread designers, using a given set of criteria to create their own unique ideas. Bikability
We’re really pleased to share that our Year 3 and Year 4 children recently took part in the Bikeability course in Wolverhampton. Year 3 had a great time in the “Learn to Ride” sessions, building their confidence and getting to grips with the basics, while Year 4 completed Level 1, practising control, balance and safe riding skills. It was lovely to see how much their confidence grew over the sessions and how much they enjoyed it too!

Year 3 Drama Workshop
Year 3 had a fantastic opportunity to work with a drama teacher from Wednesfield Academy. The children worked through a variety of drama exercises to make them aware of the space they occupy and how their body language can convey different meanings for different scenarios. A big focus in this session was about being a good audience! How we listen to performers, how we react and how we give feedback when the performance has finished.

Dance! Dance! Dance!
Year 3 had a fantastic afternoon learning traditional dances: the Scottish Reel, the Brazilian Capoeira and the Fijian Meke! We took part in dance tutorials for each dance to learn some specific movements and then worked in pairs to create a short performance piece in the style of one of the dances!

Year 3 Wild Tribe
Year 3 have loved taking part in their Wild Tribe sessions this term! We have developed a wide variety of skills such as listening, building a fire, appreciating the outside world and taking time to be still and notice what is around us. A huge thank you to Mrs Roberts for planning and leading this wonderful opportunity…The soggy feet were absolutely worth it!

Year 3’s Visit to Severn Valley Country Park
Year 3 had an amazing time on their recent visit to Severn Valley Country Park in Shropshire! The children spent the day immersed in nature, taking part in an exciting mini beast hunt where they discovered all sorts of fascinating insects and creatures in their natural habitats. They also enjoyed a fun-filled scavenger hunt, working together to find clues and natural items hidden throughout the park. Year 3 Local Walk
Year 3 went on a local walk around our school to support their learning in Geography. The children explored the area, observing and discussing the different human and physical features around them. It was a great way to connect what they’ve been learning in class to the world around them, while also helping them develop an awareness of their local environment.

Science Dome
Our Year 3 class had a fantastic experience during their visit from the Science Dome. For an hour, the children were immersed in an exciting, interactive session all about light and sound. Anti-Bullying Week 2025 'Power For Good!'
All children across school took part in anti-bullying week and we kicked-started the week with everyone wearing Odd Socks to show how we are all individual and unique! This years theme was 'Power For Good' which was introduced in assembly to all children on 'Odd Socks Day'. Amazing Animators Assemble!
Year 3 had an amazing time taking part in Animation Day! The children began by planning their own underwater adventures, imagining colourful sea creatures and exciting ocean scenes. Visit to the Gudwara!
Year 3 and Year 4 enjoyed a thoughtful and enriching visit to the local Gurdwara as part of our learning about Sikhism.
