Year 5 had an exciting visit to the Science labs at Wednesfield Academy for their first real secondary‑school science lesson. To start, the children explored the lab, learned about important safety rules, and met a science teacher. They were then sorted into Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw House! The class investigated whether different liquids were acids, alkalis or neutral by testing them carefully. They then made their own homemade indicator and used it to c

Our Early Years had a wonderful Mother’s Day celebration! The children absolutely loved spending time with their mums, nannies, and sisters. A big thank you to everyone who came—we hope you all have a lovely time celebrating on Sunday!

Year 3 went on a local walk around our school to support their learning in Geography. The children explored the area, observing and discussing the different human and physical features around them. It was a great way to connect what they’ve been learning in class to the world around them, while also helping them develop an awareness of their local environment.

A huge thank you to everyone so far who have shared their fantastic photos for Get Caught Reading! It was truly wonderful to see so many children enjoying their books in such a wide variety of places! Your creativity and love of reading really shone through in every picture.

Before the Christmas break, staff from school joined the Rotary on their annual sleigh ride around the local estate. Together they raised lots of money which will be used to support the local community. A massive thank you to families that popped out to say hello and also for their generous donations!

Nursery, Reception and Year 1 have enjoyed a wonderful puppet show delivered by Penn Puppets. They told the Aesop’s Fable -The Boy Who Cried Wolf through song and a Parable from the Bible -The Lost Sheep. What a wonderful time had by all!

Year 3 and Year 4 enjoyed a thoughtful and enriching visit to the local Gurdwara as part of our learning about Sikhism. The children were warmly welcomed by the community and had the opportunity to explore the prayer hall and listen to music. One of our talented Year 3s played for us too!
