Spotlight Dance Club Shines on Stage
Our Spotlight Dance Club has been running weekly throughout the spring term, and to showcase their learning the children gave a fantastic performance to families and staff. It was wonderful to see pupils from Reception all the way up to Year 6 working together so confidently and enthusiastically. Their hard work and dedication truly shone through in their performance. Cross Country Champions in Action!
A fantastic team effort from our Cross Countey team who took part in a long distance race at Rakegate primary school. The boys ran first, with Finley (Year 6) and Callum (Year 4) leading the way, followed closely by Ryley and Tomiwa (both Year 6) a fantastic team and supportive team run! Dance Club
What a fantastic turn out for our first afterschool Dance club sessions. All the children, ranging from Reception all the way through to Year 6, have enjoyed expressing themselves through dance and beginning to learn a routine to the infectious song 'Golden'. The club is being run by Spotlight Dance Company who have already been impressed with the enthusiasm and confidence of the children so far. Coach to 2k!
What a term it has been for our club! Rain, wind and frost – we haven’t let anything stop us reaching our goal! We have seen a variety of faces throughout the course of the club, but there were seven faces that have show clear commitment and persistence. From Year 6 – Jordie B-S, Oliver N and Neve C. Wild Tribe Learning
KS1 have been exploring the outdoors during their Wild Tribe learning. We used the book Stickman as a hook; we then collected, counted and organised sticks; explored a variety of vocabulary for description and also discussed who, why and how we respect this exciting area. We also found some great ways of playing a variety of games in our safe outdoor space.
