Wider Curriculum Events
We provide many opportunities for children to experience learning outside the classroom, to support and enhance their skills and
understanding through trips and a variety of visitors within school.
We also invite in a range of companies to enhance learning in
school e.g. history theme days.
We also have strong links with local secondary schools who provide
opportunities for our key stage 2 pupils. There are also opportunities for Year 2, Year 4 and Year 6 children to participate in residential trips.
The school places importance on building pupils’ character. Pupils in Year 2 and Year 6 attend annual residential visits to learn in the outdoors. Visits enrich the curriculum. Pupils enjoy a range of opportunities to extebd their cultural awareness.

Year 2's Pop Art Adventure!
Year 2 had an amazing time at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. They were able to discover the wonderful art of Andy Warhol with a guided tour. They explored the journey his art went on across the years and the influences that impacted his work. All the children were wonderful, listening so carefully and exploring his art. They also had the chance to create their own artwork using a poly-print method. They listened carefully to all the information and created some wonderful piece of
Born to Rock!
What a fantastic mini concert we have had this summer term! Children from reception up to year 6 have begun to learn an instrument alongside Rocksteady. They created their own band, choosing the name and the song they wished to perform. They worked hard to learn a variety of skills on their chosen instrument building up to their end or term concert where they performed not once, but twice! They were absolutely brilliant! Such super stars already!
Creating Digital Fact Files in Year 1
Year One had a fantastic day using their Computing skills with Mr Hartley from Engagedu. They created fact files for Michael Jordan and Mother Teresa using Balloon Stickies, Squiggle and Book Creator. We learned all about publishing and how to use a keyboard effectively!
Father's Day Celebrations!

Year 1 Visit to Tanglewood
Year 1 had a wonderful time at Tanglewood exploring art in nature. After a mini-beast hunt, they enjoyed creating clay mini-beasts, symmetrical butterflies, squirrel birthday cakes from forest materials, and hammer printing. It was a fantastic day full of creativity, exploration, and outdoor learning.
Year 6’s DT Workshop at Wednesfield Academy
Year 6 had a fantastic morning at Wednesfield Academy, taking part in an exciting DT session. First, Year 6 settled into the DT classroom – which was an experience in itself! The room was filled with new equipment and machinery. The lesson started with a health and safety talk, which included partner discussions. Year 3 'Come Fly With Me: Africa!'
The children had a fantastic day as we began our new topic, "Come Fly With Me: Africa." They showed excellent rhythm skills while playing the djembe drums and enthusiastically took part in a range of call and response games. They learned to recognise the main features of instruments used in African music and worked collaboratively to perform as a group.The children also enjoyed learning some African dance moves, performing together with confidence and enthusiasm. Year 5 Visit Wednesfield Academy
Year 5 had a great opportunity to visit Wednesfield Academy and take part in two DT lessons. First, we made rockets and watched them fly across the field. Then we went back into the workshops and raced F1 cars created by a laser cutting machine. The children were so impressed by the equipment and activities they can't wait to go back in a few weeks for an afternoon of PE!

Year 5 Raise the Roof at ‘Singing In The Halls'
Year 5 were chosen to be a part of 2,700 pupils who came together to raise the roof of the University of Wolverhampton at The Halls a special concert yesterday morning. 'Singing In The Halls', which was organised by Wolverhampton Music Service, performed at the iconic venue accompanied by a 14-piece band.
