Year 3’s Visit to Severn Valley Country Park
Year 3 had an amazing time on their recent visit to Severn Valley Country Park in Shropshire! The children spent the day immersed in nature, taking part in an exciting mini beast hunt where they discovered all sorts of fascinating insects and creatures in their natural habitats. They also enjoyed a fun-filled scavenger hunt, working together to find clues and natural items hidden throughout the park. Year 4 Rainforest Adventure
Year 4 had an exciting Rainforest Roadshow, and it felt like we stepped right into the Amazon. We were brave explorers as we held real rainforest creatures, including a tarantula, a praying mantis, and even a millipede. We had the opportunity to wear colourful Amazonian‑style face paint, which made us look like members of a rainforest tribe. We created our own jewellery inspired by rainforest designs and explored fascinating artefacts that showed how people in the rainforest

Year 3 Local Walk
Year 3 went on a local walk around our school to support their learning in Geography. The children explored the area, observing and discussing the different human and physical features around them. It was a great way to connect what they’ve been learning in class to the world around them, while also helping them develop an awareness of their local environment.

Year One Local Area Walk – Moathouse Estate
Year One enjoyed a walk around the local area of Moathouse Estate. Using a map to follow their route, the children identified a range of human and physical features along the way. They explored different signs, street names, and landmarks, developing their understanding of how maps connect to real places. It was a great opportunity for the children to practise their geographical skills and learn more about their community.

Y6's Visit to Blists Hill Museum
Year 6 had a WONDERFUL day at Blists Hill Museum where they travelled back to the Victorian era and really got a feel for what life was like back then. They began the day by taking part in an Intaglio Printing workshop, using the printing machine which was many years old! For the rest of the day, they explored the exhibitions and looked at key landmarks at the museum. They asked the demonstrators fantastic questions which helped them understand and compare what life was like
