Year 5 Raise the Roof at ‘Singing In The Halls'
Year 5 were chosen to be a part of 2,700 pupils who came together to raise the roof of the University of Wolverhampton at The Halls a special concert yesterday morning. 'Singing In The Halls', which was organised by Wolverhampton Music Service, performed at the iconic venue accompanied by a 14-piece band. SATs Complete — Well Done, Year 6!
A huge well done to our Year 6 children for completing their SATs this week! We are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and positive attitude they showed throughout the tests. The children approached each day with confidence and worked extremely hard — they should all be very proud of themselves. Blue Peter Book Badge Success

A Choc-tastic Day at Cadbury World
Year 5 have had a 'Choc-tastic' day at Cadbury World today. We have explored everything chocolate and loved every second of it. The children have been exploring the journey of the Cocoa bean in our Thematic learning, so Cadbury World was the obvious choice for our Summer term trip. Bikability
We’re really pleased to share that our Year 3 and Year 4 children recently took part in the Bikeability course in Wolverhampton. Year 3 had a great time in the “Learn to Ride” sessions, building their confidence and getting to grips with the basics, while Year 4 completed Level 1, practising control, balance and safe riding skills. It was lovely to see how much their confidence grew over the sessions and how much they enjoyed it too!

RHS Level 3 Gardening Award Achieved!
We are delighted to share that our school has now secured the Level 3 Gardening Award from the Royal Horticultural Society! As part of this fantastic achievement, we have received a £50 garden centre voucher, a selection of seeds, and a wonderful book all about wild gardening. These resources will help us continue to develop our garden and inspire even more outdoor learning. Reception’s Roaring Day Out!
Reception had a ROARsome time on their trip to Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur world last Friday. We saw huge dinosaurs that we had learnt about in our topic 'Jurrasic Park' and enjoyed looking at them in real life! We saw wallabies, wolves, birds, lemurs, farm animals, reptiles, lots of big cats and of course, the famous capybara Cinnamon!

Year 3 Drama Workshop
Year 3 had a fantastic opportunity to work with a drama teacher from Wednesfield Academy. The children worked through a variety of drama exercises to make them aware of the space they occupy and how their body language can convey different meanings for different scenarios. A big focus in this session was about being a good audience! How we listen to performers, how we react and how we give feedback when the performance has finished.

Year 4 had a fantastic time in their recent drama workshop, diving into a range of fun and engaging activities designed to build confidence and communication skills. The session began with a lively challenge as pupils worked together to organise themselves into height order. This encouraged teamwork, observation and communication. Year 4 Visit Pasford Farm
Year 4 enjoyed a wonderful day at the farm, where they challenged themselves, discovered new skills, and connected with the world around them. Many overcame their fears as they met the animals up close, and they learnt just how important healthy soil is in helping our food grow. The visit helped them understand the journey food takes before it reaches our plates, sparking curiosity and thoughtful conversations. Farm on Wheels in Nursery
Our children had a delightful day when the “Farm on Wheels” visited our nursery class! The children got hands-on experience with a variety of farm animals, learning about their names, sounds, and habits. They explored, touched, and interacted with the animals in a safe and friendly environment. The visit sparked curiosity and excitement, teaching the children about farm life, nature, and the importance of caring for animals.

Year 3 Wild Tribe
Year 3 have loved taking part in their Wild Tribe sessions this term! We have developed a wide variety of skills such as listening, building a fire, appreciating the outside world and taking time to be still and notice what is around us. Year 3’s Visit to Severn Valley Country Park
Year 3 had an amazing time on their recent visit to Severn Valley Country Park in Shropshire! The children spent the day immersed in nature, taking part in an exciting mini beast hunt where they discovered all sorts of fascinating insects and creatures in their natural habitats. Matilda at Wednesfield Academy
Key Stage 2 had the exciting opportunity to visit the local high school to watch their performance of Matilda . The students enjoyed a morning of theatre, watching the talented cast bring the fantastic story to life on stage. Year 5 Computing Day
Year 5 took part in a fun Computing workshop all about data and spreadsheets. First, we learned what data is and why it’s useful in real jobs like science and engineering. We collected our own data by rolling dice with a partner. Next, we used Google Sheets on the laptops. We learned important words lik e cell, row, column a nd how to find a cell reference . Harry Potter Chemistry Lesson
Year 5 had an exciting visit to the Science labs at Wednesfield Academy for their first real secondary‑school science lesson. To start, the children explored the lab, learned about important safety rules, and met a science teacher. They were then sorted into Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw House! Spotlight Dance Club Shines on Stage
Our Spotlight Dance Club has been running weekly throughout the spring term, and to showcase their learning the children gave a fantastic performance to families and staff.
