Trust Football Tournament

What an afternoon we have had! Atter a steady start holding both Goldthorn Park, Tipton Green and Elston Hall to a draw - we were feeling positive. Goals were then our focus. In our third game, which against Pheasey Park we began our hunt for goals! Finley rose to the challenge by scoring 2 amazing goals. We had fantastic defending from Jorgie, our wall that no ball could break. Kaleb, who kept his eyes firmly on the last man, ensured our keeper wasn't under too much pressure throughout. Sharing goalkeeper duties was Oliver, who had the safest pair of hands today! Harvey and Oscar our youngest members of the team were simply out of this world! They held up midfield and were great at linking between defence and attack. Toby's confidence grew throughout the game and he will definitely be ready to show his leadership skills next year!

As for our Captain Ryley, he was exceptional. He led from the front ensuring the children were a solid team, they warmed up, shook hands respectfully after each game and of course celebrated like it was actually the World Cup! 

A Great afternoon had by all and a third place for Team Edwards.
