Anti-Bullying Week 2025 'Power For Good!'
All children across school took part in anti-bullying week and we kicked-started the week with everyone wearing Odd Socks to show how we are all individual and unique! This years theme was 'Power For Good' which was introduced in assembly to all children on 'Odd Socks Day'. Children In Need
Year 5 had a brilliant day raising money for #ChildrenInNeed They absolutely loved their “25 sponsored Challenge” where they had to complete a 25 lap three-legged relay! They worked really well in pairs and had lots of fun! Thank you for all the donations, what a brilliant end to the week!

Planting for the Future: Our Health Champions in Action
Our Health Champions used their 'Power for Good' last Friday by planting out native hedgerow saplings around our Forest Area. They planted and watered nearly 200 saplings and did a fantastic job! We're looking forward to seeing them grow. Well done!

Our first Dodgeball Competition was last week and what a great performance from Team Edwards! Four rounds of games with different schools and several rounds in each, balls were flying left, right and centre. There was plenty of jumping and ducking, diving and deflecting and a constant show of pride for our school! Our Composting Project!
Children learnt about composting by watching videos and then set up their own compost bin. They layered it with cardboard, wet leaves and fruit peelings. Hopefully we will have some of our very own compost by Spring!

Young Writers Poetry Competition
49 KS2 pupils will become published authors in the recent poetry competition with Young Writers: I have a dream. A fantastic experience and opportunity to excite our pupils and give them real purpose for their writing!

Bonfire Celebrations!
Bonfire celebration day went with off with a bang for EYFS this week. We used our imaginations and senses in the morning and then Reception finished the celebrations by toasting marshmallows on a real fire. We had the best day!

Wilderness Warriors Care for the Birds!
Wilderness Warriors Club are taking care of the creatures which live in our forest area. We made different types of bird feeders to help our birds prepare for the Winter. Lots of fun outdoors as always!

Gymnastics
We have well and truly flown through our Gymnastics unit! Early Years have been learning all about the different ways in which their bodies can move and cemented multiple gymnastics shapes including straight, pike, straddle and dish and such shapes. Mixed football match - 23.10.25
The second league mixed football game took place at the end of our first half term. The children were very excited the play this second fixture, with some fresh faces taking to the pitch the game was set. Long Knowle arrived with an Entourage of supporters, but our support base didn't let us down and arrived in full force. Magical Potion Making with Wilderness Warriors
Wilderness Warriors Club enjoyed making potions in their very own cauldrons…with objects from the forest, mud, water and a sprinkle of ‘glitter magic’. We found our own wooden magic spoons for stirring and even made up our own spells!

Dancing Queen!
Three weeks ago, Katie (Y4) and her stage academy RSM had the opportunity to travel up to Peterborough for the National Entertainment Awards! There were 27 different acts taking part in a variety of singing and dancing performances. Penn Puppets!

Wilderness Warriors Club Campfire Fun
Wilderness Warriors Club enjoyed a fabulous campfire today! We used everything we have been learning about fire safety during the last few weeks to set up our fire and shared the most delicious toasted marshmallows. We love club!

Amazing Animators Assemble!
Year 3 had an amazing time taking part in Animation Day! The children began by planning their own underwater adventures, imagining colourful sea creatures and exciting ocean scenes. Mixed Football 9.10.25
Our first Mixed game and what a game it was! We hosted St Patricks on Thursday 9 th October. The team were ready and raring to go! We played like a real team and were unlucky to loose 3-1. Initially we took the lead with Jenson (Y5) scoring from a deflection from St Patricks keeper.
