World Book Day 2026

We had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day in school. The children arrived dressed as their favourite book characters, and it was fantastic to see so many creative and colourful costumes around the school.

The children were also invited to bring in their favourite book from home. This gave them a great opportunity to share stories they love, recommend books to their friends, and talk about the characters and adventures they enjoy reading about.

Throughout the day, children had the chance to share books with their peers from different classes, which made the day even more special as they discovered new stories together. They also visited the hall to see the wonderful shoebox stories on display. Each shoebox had been carefully designed to represent a favourite book, and it was fantastic to see the creativity and effort that had gone into them.

There was also an opportunity for children to purchase a book from our pre-loved book sale, helping to give books a new home and encouraging even more reading.

What a fantastic day it was to spread the love of reading and celebrate the joy that books bring to us all!
