Land Ahoyyy!

As part of year 2's new theme 'Land Ahoy', they took part in an inspiration day. We started the day designing an eye patch and finding out our Pirate names. The children practised these and shared with the class using a pirate voice. They designed and followed instructions to make a pirate hat. They then had the chance to investigate ships and boats before working as a team to design and create their own boat. They then launched it to see if it could float - all designs were successful . Lots of smiles from everyone. They then finished the day with pirate games and songs.
