Year 3 Wild Tribe
Year 3 have loved taking part in their Wild Tribe sessions this term! We have developed a wide variety of skills such as listening, building a fire, appreciating the outside world and taking time to be still and notice what is around us. A huge thank you to Mrs Roberts for planning and leading this wonderful opportunity…The soggy feet were absolutely worth it!

Year 3’s Visit to Severn Valley Country Park
Year 3 had an amazing time on their recent visit to Severn Valley Country Park in Shropshire! The children spent the day immersed in nature, taking part in an exciting mini beast hunt where they discovered all sorts of fascinating insects and creatures in their natural habitats. They also enjoyed a fun-filled scavenger hunt, working together to find clues and natural items hidden throughout the park. Year 4 Wild Tribe!
Year 4 had a brilliant time in their recent Wild Tribe lesson, where they put their fire-building skills to the test! Alongside learning these practical outdoor skills, they also picked up some important life lessons—especially when it came to toasting marshmallows. The challenge? How not to burn them!

Year 3 Local Walk
Year 3 went on a local walk around our school to support their learning in Geography. The children explored the area, observing and discussing the different human and physical features around them. It was a great way to connect what they’ve been learning in class to the world around them, while also helping them develop an awareness of their local environment.

Wild Tribers Spark into Action!
Years 1 and 2 have begun their Wild Tribe learning journey! They enjoyed learning about their new outdoor learning space and carried on with their sessions despite the rain and winter weather! They have learnt how to stay safe and about the differents type of wood needed to build a fire. Reception’s Outdoor Learning Adventure
Reception took full advantage of the winter weather today and took their learning outside to explore the snow and ice. We did a winter scavenger hunt to create winter trays and poured water on them to see how they will change overnight. Lots of happy/ cold faces today!

Trip to Tanglewood
Reception has THE BEST day visiting Tanglewood, Cannock Chase last Friday. They enjoyed making sustainable Christmas tree decorations, worked as a team to decorate two trees, went on a robin hunt, toasted marshmallows on a fire and had hot chocolate, and even got to meet the main man himself! What a fantastic trip!

Planting Bulbs
A BIG thank you to Year 4 who helped to plant hundreds of spring flowering bulbs this morning. It will hopefully become a wonderful display of flowers in the springtime, we can't wait to see them grow!

Year 1 Trip to Kingswood Trust Centre
Year 1 visited Kingswood Trust Centre for the day to develop their geographical skills as part of their current Dimensions theme ‘Never Eat Shredded Wheat’. We enjoyed lots of opportunities for map reading and comparing different localities. We completed a ‘peg orienteering’ challenge around the grounds and followed a map through the forest to find our way along an ‘Owl Trail’. Planting for the Future: Our Health Champions in Action
Our Health Champions used their 'Power for Good' last Friday by planting out native hedgerow saplings around our Forest Area. They planted and watered nearly 200 saplings and did a fantastic job! We're looking forward to seeing them grow. Well done!

Wild Tribe Learning
KS1 have been exploring the outdoors during their Wild Tribe learning. We used the book Stickman as a hook; we then collected, counted and organised sticks; explored a variety of vocabulary for description and also discussed who, why and how we respect this exciting area. We also found some great ways of playing a variety of games in our safe outdoor space.
