Year 1 visited Kingswood Trust Centre for the day to develop their geographical skills as part of their current Dimensions theme ‘Never Eat Shredded Wheat’. We enjoyed lots of opportunities for map reading and comparing different localities. Children learnt about composting by watching videos and then set up their own compost bin. They layered it with cardboard, wet leaves and fruit peelings. Hopefully we will have some of our very own compost by Spring!

KS1 have been exploring the outdoors during their Wild Tribe learning. We used the book Stickman as a hook; we then collected, counted and organised sticks; explored a variety of vocabulary for description and also discussed who, why and how we respect this exciting area. We also found some great ways of playing a variety of games in our safe outdoor space.
