School Council Says: Stay Sun Safe!

Year 5 Visit Wednesfield Academy
Year 5 had a great opportunity to visit Wednesfield Academy and take part in two DT lessons. First, we made rockets and watched them fly across the field. Then we went back into the workshops and raced F1 cars created by a laser cutting machine. The children were so impressed by the equipment and activities they can't wait to go back in a few weeks for an afternoon of PE!

Author Visit
Author Rani Virdee-Chahal visited our school to share her new book, The Simple Family, with children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. SATs Complete — Well Done, Year 6!
A huge well done to our Year 6 children for completing their SATs this week! We are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and positive attitude they showed throughout the tests. The children approached each day with confidence and worked extremely hard — they should all be very proud of themselves. Designing Delicious Shortbread
As part of their Design and Technology learning Year 3 children explored the origins of shortbread and learned about its history and cultural significance. Farm on Wheels in Nursery
Our children had a delightful day when the “Farm on Wheels” visited our nursery class! The children got hands-on experience with a variety of farm animals, learning about their names, sounds, and habits. Awe and Wonder in Reception!

Year 2 Residential
Year 2 had the most amazing time at their Kingswood residential. They had the best time pond dipping, animal petting and completing a baby animal hunt. Year 2 Jungle Challenge Day!
Year 2 had a fantastic day as explorers and jungle animals as we worked our way through the challenges in I'm a Year 2 Get me out of here! Visit from the Firefighters!
Year One were very lucky to meet some of the firefighters from Fallings Park. They showed us around their fire engine, and we even had the chance to sit in the firefighters’ seats! They also demonstrated some of the tools they use when fighting fires and rescuing people. In class, we learned about the important role firefighters play within our community and the special protective clothing they wear to keep themselves safe.

Year One School Crossing Patrol
Year One have enjoyed learning all about how to cross the road safely. Ros, the ‘School Crossing Patrol’ lady, taught use how to STOP, LOOK and LISTEN and how to find a safe place to cross. We learned through fun role play and she even taught us a song to help us to remember exactly how to stay safe when we are crossing the street! What a fun morning full of learning!

Shining Star
Our very first 'Shining Star' - Harsimran from Y4. Harsimran was awarded this for going above and beyond to be a kind friend, especially towards a new member in his class. Any child across school can be a 'Shining Star' for super learning, brilliant behaviour, being a kind friend... the list goes on! Children in Need Celebrations
Year 6 have had an absolutely amazing day, celebrating Children in Need and raising money for a FANTASTIC charity! They took part in a 25 minute scavenger hunt, where they had to find hidden Pudsey bears around school! Miss Louca had a list of clues which were given 1 by 1 to each group and they worked together as a team to hunt them around school. The children had so much fun doing this and what a great way for them to raise money! Well done Year 6!

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 'Power For Good!'
All children across school took part in anti-bullying week and we kicked-started the week with everyone wearing Odd Socks to show how we are all individual and unique! This years theme was 'Power For Good' which was introduced in assembly to all children on 'Odd Socks Day'. Wilderness Warriors Care for the Birds!
Wilderness Warriors Club are taking care of the creatures which live in our forest area. We made different types of bird feeders to help our birds prepare for the Winter. Lots of fun outdoors as always!
