What a fantastic turn out for our first afterschool Dance club sessions. All the children, ranging from Reception all the way through to Year 6, have enjoyed expressing themselves through dance and beginning to learn a routine to the infectious song 'Golden'. The club is being run by Spotlight Dance Company who have already been impressed with the enthusiasm and confidence of the children so far. Just like Strictly we have been dancing our way through the Autumn term learning a range of skills accompanying them to music and developing our creativity. Early Years have been using the ever-popular theme of Super Heros moving in different spaces with a focus on special awareness and moving to different tempos of music. Wilderness Warriors Club are taking care of the creatures which live in our forest area. We made different types of bird feeders to help our birds prepare for the Winter. Lots of fun outdoors as always!

Wilderness Warriors Club enjoyed making potions in their very own cauldrons…with objects from the forest, mud, water and a sprinkle of ‘glitter magic’. We found our own wooden magic spoons for stirring and even made up our own spells!

Wilderness Warriors Club enjoyed a fabulous campfire today! We used everything we have been learning about fire safety during the last few weeks to set up our fire and shared the most delicious toasted marshmallows. We love club!

Wilderness Warriors continued to learn all about fire safety today in preparation for our very own fire next week. We learned that a fire needs fuel, heat and oxygen and Mrs Roberts showed us how use a ‘fire striker’ to create a spark. Well done everyone!

Wilderness Warriors Club have been playing games to learn how to stay safe by a campfire. They have collected dry sticks from our woodland area in preparation for our campfire session and also checked in on our woodland meadow and the seeds we planted last week.

Welcome back Wilderness Warriors Club! Today we planted pansies ready for some Autumn/Winter colour and sowed more seeds to develop our wildflower meadow. We certainly have some exciting plans ahead! Watch this space!
