Year 4 Explore Their Teeth!

Year 4 enjoyed learning all about their teeth in science and how to keep them healthy.

Using mirrors, they carefully examined their own teeth and identified the different types found in their mouths. The children learned about incisors, canines, premolars and molars, exploring how each type differs in shape, size and position. They discovered that each tooth has a special job, helping us to bite, cut, tear and grind our food.

To put their learning into practice, the children used Play-Doh to create their own models of teeth. They carefully thought about the different shapes and sizes and tried to recreate the teeth they had observed.
