Year 2 Inspiration Day

As part of our first thematic unit 'Inter-nation Media Station' year 2 became journalists and investigated some strange goings on around Edward the Elder. They received a message from Dudley Zoo explaining that an animal had gone missing and they had received a tip saying it may have been spotted near Edward the Elder. 

The children interviewed a number of staff who gave them clues about the strange things they'd seen or heard. The children put these clues together as part of a news broadcast where they took on the roles of reporter, weather person, eye witness, interviewer and camera person. They were absolutely amazing at this and had a fantastic time. We all agreed it seemed likely to be a gorilla that's escaped. What an awesome day and a fabulous start to our thematic learning!
