Parliament Assembly KS2

KS2 enjoyed an assembly from our local parliament educational officer on the 7th October 2024. We self-assessed at the beginning of the workshop and the majority decided that we didn’t know much about our democratic process. We loved finding out all about our local Wolverhampton area and who our local MP is (who will also be visiting us soon!). Interestingly, we found out that even though children cannot vote, we can still make proposals to change and create laws if we feel there is an issue to be fixed. The thought of being able to make positive change was very exciting for us! At the end of the workshop, we agreed that we now knew more and some of us even said we would like to be an MP when old enough. Thank you to Clare for her informative assembly.
