Our second, and long anticipated girls football game took place last week, where the girls were able to show off the huge improvements made over the past few weeks. The blog for this game has been written by our team captain Alanna Speke.
We played a match against Oak Meadow Primary School, we played well when getting the ball through to our attackers, but it seemed a rush when trying to get back. At times our defenders came too far forward, when they should have remained back to support our goalkeeper. In addition to this, we have improved when clearing the ball but need to continue to work on our aim when passing to other players. I think our focus for the next game should be using more of the pitch, as we do get tired when running up and down continuously. Player of the match was Jessica Phillips (Y5).
A great game from both teams and lovely feedback received from the other schools coach ‘Both teams gave it their all and should be proud of themselves!’.
Thanks all and stay active!
