Edward the Elder celebrated World Book Day this year with a theme of David Walliams for KS2 and Julia Donaldson for KS1/EYFS. Children were invited to dress up as a character from their given author. Thanks to lots of donations from home, we held a pre-loved book sale where the children had the opportunity to purchase a new book for 50p. Classes swapped and the children enjoyed the opportunity to read with a child from another year group - this was wonderful to see! We continue to promote a love for reading at Edward the Elder.
