

Online Safety Session
Both parents and children from Year 5 and 6 were invited to an online safety session with Patrick Flynn yesterday which was tailored to our school specifically, based on the results from the survey that the children took part in. Thank you to parents for attending the session as we know how informative this was and how it will help you to keep our children safe online.


The Highwayman
Year 5 have launched into our new English unit with real excitement as we explore the classic poem The Highwayman by Alfred Noyes. We kicked things off by investigating a mysterious classroom “crime scene” and making predictions about what might have happened. The children have performed powerful lines of the poem aloud, created freeze‑frames to bring key moments to life, and begun digging into rich vocabulary to unlock the poem’s deeper meaning. A great start Year 5!


Planet Paint Thematic Unit
In our Year 5 art lessons, we’ve been inspired by our Earth and Space topic to create some truly stunning artwork! We began by painting the Moon and the Sun, before moving on to design and paint our own imaginative planets. Throughout our work, we have been experimenting with different marks, textures, and techniques, as well as mixing colours to create new shades and tones.
