Design & Technology at Home

There are lots of simple ways you can help your child develop their interest in History at home. Talk about the past and how things have changed over time, look at old family photographs and talk to older relatives about their experiences. You could visit a museum, historic building or local landmark, explore historical places in your local area, read books set in the past.

Our children explored how bridges are designed and built, experimenting with cutting, folding and joining materials to create their own structures. They applied their learning to design and make bridges that were strong and stable.
